Sweet Saturday Samples

Short excerpt from "Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights":

She realized she wanted him for always, not just this one night but real love couldn’t be built on a lie. She pulled back a little bit.
“I guess I have been waiting for you for twenty years. Now
you’re here and I’ll never let you go, so what’s wrong? What is it?”
he asked her, his voice husky with desire, eyes questioning her.
“Wait,” she said, gently pushing him back, sitting up,
conscience finally overruling passion.
“What?” His brows knitted, his soft lips in a hard line, his
frustration evident.
“I have to tell you something,” she said, nervously searching
for the right words, her eyes downcast, and her fingers idly plucking at the hay.
“You’re coming clean now?” He sighed. Her timing probably
wasn’t the greatest, but at least she was going to tell him.
