 From Love, Lost and Found:
“Are you going to kill me?” Tara felt her pulse jump and adrenaline pump.
I shall not want.
“Shut up!” A sharp stinging pain ran across her cheek when the second man slapped her.
“Speak only when spoken to, like women should.”

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.
A second slap stung her other cheek bringing the taste of blood to her lips. The last thing she heard before a punch knocked her unconscious was, “Your American employer will pay for your freedom."

From Now and Forever 2, the Book of Danny:
“If you go near her, I’ll kill you,” he said, fisting his hands.
Fred pointed the gun at Mac’s head.
“Who is killing who here? I’m the one with the gun…looks like the only killing will be done by me. So if I want your wife, I’m gonna take her and there’s nothin’ you’re gonna do about it, except maybe watch and learn something,” Fred said, laughing.

From April's Kiss in the Moonlight:
Juan shrugged. "I don’t care what you say. He’s dead. You were his woman. You got the money."
"Can I play with her?" asked Caleb.
Juan looked at Caleb and back at April. She instinctively held her robe closed with a shaking hand. Small droplets of sweat formed on her upper lip.

"Sure. She don’t give us the money . . . she can give us something else . . . then maybe she’ll give us the money."
Caleb took off his shirt. "Hot in here. Why don’t you take off your robe, sweet cakes? Get comfortable." Caleb said.
April began to cry.

From Now and Forever 3, Blind Love :
“I thought we should celebrate catching a big fish, thanks to you,” Rex said, entering the living room with the lethal brew. She smiled with relief, probably figuring he forgave her for kissing Mac.
“Don’t we have to make a toast?”
“Sure, sure.”
“Okay, well…” She motioned for him to speak up.
“How about to success?”
“Yeah. To success…and love.” Deena raised her glass as Rex watched.
He shoved his feelings for Deena out of his mind, trying to forget the taste of her lips. Even in his short time in love, it was never blind love. Now it was him or her, so she had to go.

INTERVIEW WITH WILLOW FROM THE WEEP[ING WILLOW TREE

Today we welcome Willow Bradley, heroine of Lacie Nation's new book, The Weeping Willow Tree.
Welcome, Willow. Have a seat. Coffee is too your right, croissants to your left.
1. Are you upset your name is not in the title? Well, considering I’m named after the weeping willow tree and that is the name of the book, I can’t be to upset.
2.. Are you happy with the profession your author chose for you or would you rather be working at something totally different and why? I’m happy. Running my family’s deli and interacting with the town’s people means the world to me. I’m my own boss which is pretty nice considering I don’t like answering to anyone but myself.

3. Would you like to be taller, blonder, thinner or smarter than you have been portrayed?
No, I am who I am and it took me a long time to be proud of whom I am. My hips are a little too wide, my hair is sometimes frizzy, and my skin could be softer, but Danny loves me and more important, I love myself.
4. Did you author handle your “love” scenes the way you like or was she too explicit or not explicit enough? I think she did just fine. Like I said, my hips are a bit too wide for there to be too much detail! LOL
5. Is you’re hero/heroine a good kisser? Oh goodness! Danny Mason makes me see stars every time his lips touch mine. So yes, he is a very good kisser!

6. Are you happy with the setting? Did you want a bigger house or car? No, I don’t need bigger things. As long as I have my family and Danny, I’m perfectly fine.
7. Any hobbies we might be interested in knowing about? I love to play the guitar and write my own music.

8. Did your author listen to you when you tried to redirect her? Yes, Lacie was very cooperative when telling my story even when I was being difficult.
9. Were you happy with your wardrobe? I’m a simple kind of girl, so yes, I was okay with my clothes.

10. Did you fight much with your author or did you two see eye-to-eye? Oh, we fought. I’m pretty sure Lacie almost threw her computer off the balcony a time or two. I’m stubborn and acted like a brat several times during the writing process.
A little bit about the book:
Willow Bradley lives her life as simply as she can. Playing the guitar and singing her pain away, she finds peace under her shade tree by the lake in her small town. Her entire life has been a struggle not to let her depression control her life. Overcoming her issues was something she was proud of. Her life was just as she wanted it until the breath taking Danny Mason walked into her safe haven. Can she put her pain aside and love a man who has secrets of his own?
Danny Mason wants nothing more than simplicity. His life is full of greed and the constant need to be perfect. What happens when he hears an angel singing under a lone weeping willow tree on the lakeside? Danny and Willow share a deep, all consuming love. Will it survive the chaos his social status, and high society parents cause?

TUESDAY TALES - STORY WRITTEN TO THE WORD PROMPT "COOL"

I have a bit of the beginning of a prequel to my first book in the Hollywood Hearts series. The first book is If I Loved You. It's scheduled to release in January. This work-in-progress prequel doesn't have a name yet. Would love your feedback. Please leave a comment.

“I don’t care if you are Darvin Sweetwater, get your grubby paws off me!” The sound of a woman’s voice growing louder and louder grabbed Mark Davis’ attention as he left the locker room at Vegas Stadium heading toward the parking lot. He turned the corner and saw a pretty blonde woman struggling with his teammate. Mark rushed over to the chocolate brown Mercedes.

“Hey, Darv…come on, man. Let her go.”
The dark-haired, six-foot two inch, two hundred pound man kept his big hands clamped on the woman’s upper arms while he turned to look at Mark.
“Not your business, Davis. Get lost.”
“Get this animal off me!” She was held fast in his grip.
“This isn’t cool, Darv. Come on. Don’t make me take you out. Go on home.”
“She’s my date! All I asked for was a little blow job before dinner…and she refused. Who refuses Darvin Sweetwater?”
“I do, you big ass!” She kicked him in the shins.
“Bitch!” Sweetwater spat as he grabbed his shin, allowing the woman to slip through his grasp.
The young woman scurried behind Mark while Darvin rubbed his leg.
“Find your own way back to L.A., bitch.”
With that he got in his car and slammed the door. After he roared out of the parking lot, Mark turned around to get a good look at Darvin’s date.
“I know you, you’re on TV!”
She nodded.
“I’m Mark Davis, second-string quarterback for the Nevada Gamblers.”  He held out his hand.
“I’m Penny Thatcher, second-string supporting cast member of Tales of the Big City.
The beautiful blonde shook his hand with a firm grip.
“Wow! I can’t believe I’m here with you. You’re the only reason I watch that crummy show. Oh…sorry,” he smiled through a blush.
“I don’t expect it to last another season.”
“Can I drive you somewhere? My car’s right over there.”
Mark pointed to a blue Honda Accord.
“I do need a lift to the airport.” She shot him a dubious look.
“Hop in. No funny stuff, I promise. How about a quick dinner first?”
“I’m starved. Fighting off bullies works up such an appetite.”
