THE GREAT LAWN, CENTRAL PARK & MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY PARK AFTER THE STORM

HERE ARE PICTURES OF THE TREE LOSS FROM THE GREAT LAWN IN CENTRAL PARK AND THE PARK AROUND THE MUSEUM. Some pictures have people in them so you can gauge how large the pile of cut-up trees truly is. I was speechless when I returned. A sad result of the storm, though, fortunately, no one was hit by these trees coming down.  Comments are welcome.

Notice the benches have been destroyed.

I'm always so sad when I see majestic trees like these fall. The history they have witnessed. I know they are only trees but it makes me feel terrible. Glad things are improving.

Great pictures of a terrible event. I've seen damage like that in Oklahoma and Texas but never expected to see it in NYC.

It's sad to see so much destruction, but I'm glad to hear no one was hurt from these falling trees. I hope the city if starting to recover from the hurricane and everyone will soon find shelter and some semblance of normalcy in their lives. I know it's going to be a long recovery process.
